With the recent shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO and the resulting riots, the aggressive actions taken by police units has been pulled back into the spotlight, and law enforcement’s right to use force has been drawn into deep debate. People are angry and cannot seem to understand why the police use force when and where they do. The have come to equate the use of force with police brutality when in reality it is a system of steps that are designed to protect innocent bystanders from potentially dangerous situations. The public’s misunderstanding of use of force and how it is designed to be used has damaged community relations between the people and the police, making it harder for law enforcement officers to work alongside those they are sworn to protect. Unfortunately, members of the community often think that police officers shoot now, and ask questions later. The resistance to the police’s right to use force is inflamed by cases like that of Michael Brown, where it is discovered that the subject was unarmed at the time the police used force against them. The public tends to think that unarmed means non-threatening, and do not take into account the unique situation that the police were involved in at the time of the incident. In order for public relations with police departments to improve, people need to know and understand how police use the continuum, and assess situations in the field, in order to determine what level of force is appropriate. Last September 13, 2013, our group that consists Of six students from Map Institute of Technology have conducted our project implementation for our SSI 1 subject under Professor Gill Catastrophe B. Arcane. The said project implementation was a drawing tutorial given to forty (40) grade-six (6) students from Juan Ulna Elementary School. Our group wanted to share our talents and skills to these students for them to be motivated and have their interest in the field of arts specially in traditional art of drawing which is we all know one should learn the traditional type of drawing and painting before starting digital drawing, since it often lays out the foundation tort everything about arts. SCOPE OF THE PROJECT The project mandates the participants to coordinate with the proctor that will conduct a drawing tutorial. The goal of the project is to teach the grade six students of basic of drawing and poster making. This activity will enhance their capability to draw and conceptualize in the field of drawing. MISSION We believe that student Will hold our future. As a Map sharing our knowledge to the younger generation will give them motivation to study hard and priority the education above all else. DISCUSSION: Project Implementation First visit On our first visit to Juan Ulna Elementary School OLEOS), while we sit and wait for he principal to have a talk with him, we try to observe the actions and behavior or the students. Active, and joyful students are most of the students we have seen. Thinking that this will be the students that were going to teach, and expecting that our group will be more challenged to teach these said active students on the date of our project implementation. Not long, eve have talked to the principal and tell him about our group and our aim for their students. We went straight to the point to ask the principal if we could conduct our project implementation, which is drawing tutorial, in Juan Ulna Elementary School. We also told him that our target community is their students. The principal told us that we were in the right timing and shared to us that their school is in need for preparation for a district poster competition this coming September 17, 2013. So he requested if we could also give them insights on how to think Of concepts for these poster making events for their students will be more ready in the future. For us, it will be even more challenging knowing that we have to add something on our lectures, not only drawing but also thinking concept ideas. As our tutorial continues, I observed that the students are listening carefully to the speaker and they apply all the techniques that they learned from us. We teach them the Step by step of how to draw, how to put shades in drawings and the last part is contest Poster Making contest. For me, the 2-3 hours session is not enough to teach the children well because the time is too short to teach all we want to them. So, we teach the entire important lesson to them to make sure that they will apply it to their artwork. Aim Sarah Bad When our group is still planning about this project implementation, honestly became bored and felt lazy about this project because thought it would be very ring and less fun teaching kids how to draw and we all know that majority of the number of kids are noisy and disobedient in schools and I dont want to get stressed but when I first walked in to the classroom, saw that the pupils are listening and very interested on what the speaker is teaching in front. It seems that they are more focused than expected, they really proved me wrong. It is my first time to talk in front and teach kids how to draw, I dont even do that to my younger cousins but it felt good. They are actually paying attention to every details and techniques teach. Some kids want a fun teacher so we tried our best to be fun teachers by giving jokes that are appropriate to their ages. During the day of implementation, spent more time behind the camera because i am assigned to take footages for documentation. Saw the smile on the kids faces and suddenly am not tired at all. I can say that its all worth it spending time preparing and spending money because on the bright side, In our little ways, we helped the world by helping the kids of the future.

Marijuana Americans have been trying to legalize marijuana for years. It seems that all of their opinions divide into three basic groups. Many think that it is not worth legalizing marijuana, many seem to think it should be legalized, and a group of people say it should only be legalized for medicinal purposes. In the following paragraphs I will try to show you reason for all three opinions. My hopes of doing this research project were to specifically determine what effects marijuana in combination with different substances had on the body. I also decided to determine the differences between marijuana and tobacco, due to the high misconceptions about both of them in society today. First of all, I had begun to due research specifically on the subject Is marijuana more dangerous than tobacco, but due to the lack of information, I had to broaden my topic. I now understand which one is more dangerous and, for the most part, the long term affects. Through both animal and human testings, it has been proven that marijuana impairs lung functions to a greater extent than tobacco cigarettes do. But, this does not necessarily mean that marijuana users are putting themselves at more risk persay. Actually, a typical marijuana user will smoke maybe two cigarettes a day, whereas a typical tobacco-user will smoke between forty and sixty cigarettes in the same period. Now, the effects of the two have changed roles. Marijuana may have more tar in it, but at the usage rate in society today, tobacco-users put themselves at a much larger risks. Also, there is a chemical called benzopyrene that is 70% more abundant in marijuana than tobacco. This chemical is believed to cause and p roduce cancer. Tobacco has the same dangerous chemicals in it, yet the main one that it lacks that marijuana has is THC. THC, more specifically known as delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, is the drug that produces the high feeling that so many marijuana users become accustomed to. Marijuana usually does not contain more than 1 percent of THC. There are stronger drugs related to THC, such as hash oil, which can contain up to a 28 percent THC level. There have been some cases where street marijuana has been found to contain up to 5 percent THC content. That is very potent for normal marijuana, and is probably very hard to come by in the United States. Other countries seem to use different forms of THC related drugs such as hashish, and hemp. Both of these contain more THC than marijuana. As far as long term effects of tobacco and marijuana go, they are about the same. Cancer should appear in the lungs of a tobacco-user earlier due to the amount the tobacco-user smokes in relation to a norm al marijuana smoker. There have been many assumptions that marijuana will cause long term brain damage and so on, but, clinically, none of this has ever been proven. In fact, in a college survey, the students who use the drug regularly possessed a higher GPA than those who do not use. This is an entire different subject, but it was interesting to learn. Both tobacco and marijuana contain tar. Marijuana contains a little more and will actually feel heavier on the lungs after smoking. Tar has been found to produce tumors on the skin of animals that it is applied to. Cancer has definitely been related to smoking and is the largest killer in the United States today. Thus, marijuana contains more of the dangerous cancer causing chemicals than tobacco does. Although this would constitute marijuana as being more dangerous, in the society we live in today and the amount of tobacco that tobacco-users consume, this belief is on the contrary. Due to the smaller frequency use of product by marijuana-users, tobacco has definitely been proven the killer in today's society. Additionally, one of the predominant mixes of today is the use of both marijuana and alcohol in combination. Alcohol has already proven to be a lethal drug, especially when driving, but together with marijuana, the effects are much greater than either drug alone. As in a comparison between both of them, alcohol has many more damages to the human body and mental psyche than marijuana. Both
